brooklyncraftcollective
as a child growing up in the jersey suburbs, i always loved art. after college (in lovely valparaiso, indiana), i spent 10 happy years living in brooklyn with my husband and working as a social worker with children and families. it was not until I became a mother to my two daughters that i really started to listen to and tap into my true inner artist. my lifestyle as a stay at home mom, and my interest in waldorf education, naturally led me to an exploration of creative, imaginative play....and handcrafts. I learned how to knit, embroider, needle felt, and much more...and I haven't stopped since.
i feel enormously blessed to have found of community of like minded moms/crafters with whom to share this passion. i find my inspiration in the eyes of my daughters, the natural world, old children's books, vintage prints and the limitless creative energy that exists all around me living in brooklyn/nyc.
